<description>desigNYC supports the work of extraordinary NYC non profits, community groups and city agencies serving the public good by connecting them with the power of good design.

In 2010, desigNYC connected me with Envirolution to create educational materials to teach students and green workers about building science, energy efficiency and sustainability.

In January 2012, I was connected with Compost For Brooklyn to help create signage and brochures in several languages to educate adults and kids about the benefits of composting. I’ve been brought back as a Project Advisor for this campaign.

<description>The Milford Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center provides healthcare services to seniors and residents. The Center is located in Milford, Pennsylvania.

They asked me to create a new logo to communicate their core values: trust, active, respect and strength, in a modern way. The symbol starts from a center point, moves outward, and is paired with the display font Hoefler Titling to communicate trust and vitality.

<description>The Light Remains is featured at UnderConsideration's For Print Only.

Jon Plasse is a photographer in New York City. In "The Light Remains," Jon chronicles the passing of his mother Sherley through photographs of their last days together, and of the many mementos that she left behind.

Andy Jacobson and I worked with Jon to arrange and display his work in the book. We considered light, rhythm and pace in the design. Mostly, we stayed out of the way and let Jon's photos tell the story.
